In the beginning

If you already know me, then please let me say “ Thank you,” for in knowing me you are part of the glow that illuminates my growing. I am glad that you have come here to lend your radiance to my days, and the cup of my gratitude overflows.

If you have stumbled here by chance, whimsy, or the gentle whispers of the universe, hello

and welcome.

I live in a self imposed isolation. A quiet place in the woods, away from the city, away from people. I live in a beautiful hell. ( I am sure that makes no sense, but maybe after a while you will begin to understand my strange sense of humor, and my references to beauty and hell)

I have two children, a he and a she , who constantly engage me, who test the limits of my emotions, intellect, and perspective.

I am an artist… which means that I use the gifts that I have been given to illustrate in a wide variety of mediums , my struggles, my needs, my confusion, love and my living. I create things to help me work through the darkest parts of my doing, and the brightest spots of my growing. I am humanly flawed, and celestially perfect.

In the past year I have been present for pain and joy alike. I have fallen and flown, and it has been  everything I needed it to be.

The one thing that has shown clearly to me , in the words, tears, embraces, smiles, laughter and myriad other forms of communication that I have been privy to, is that we NEED more joy. We need to remember how to find and focus on the good, the gratitude, the light that seeps in thru the cracks of our days.

We are that light.

It’s really funny, when I say “We are the light”, I think of all the conversations that I have had with people over my life time. People who have shown me in a million ways how to shine, and how not to be a complete and utter ass. Please understand, I have no answers, I just wanted to make a space for myself, and those who might want, to focus on the light.

This is my space. My place to use the alchemy of my words to luminesce , to remind myself to come from my joy.

This is going to be my illumination workbook.

I hope that it reflects your own resplendence back to you.

  1. What a lovely mirror….

  2. It took me a moment to put it together. I’s been a long time. ((hugs)) You have to know this; last year I bought something at a Monastery outside of Corning, NY. Hidden in the hills and as beautiful and serene as the day is long. Food for my weary soul. Anyway, I’ve carried it my pocket all this time and when I take it out (frequently) to remind me to BE; well, I always have thoughts of you.
it’s a pewter cast labyrinth set on the top of a shell…..
